Where We're At

It's been a year of growth and stretching.

Live Education 5th grade was a flop for us.  I'd love to tell about all the amazing things we did but block after block was a fail.  Sometimes the best laid plans go awry.

My takeaway from this was the kids just weren't into ancient myths AT ALL, and most of 5th was ancient myths. So, instead of being upset and freaking out, I just went with things they were interested in and "waldorfed" them by bringing it to them in an artistic way.    

Onward towards 6th, which I have no doubt will be fun since there is quite a bit of science.

The summer and fall flew by because the boys were responsible for mowing all the acreage and they rose to the occasion.  They are truly turning into men.  

In other news, the corn is still in the field.  It's been a rough year for farmers....
