Harvesting

Harvesting began 2 weeks ago and these are the types of evenings we see now...  The kids are big enough to help with mowing around the farm.  It means running John Deere mowers for hours over the acreage.  They love every minute of it.  

As we drive, all the fields of corn or soybeans are slowing getting their "hair" cut.  That's what the kids use to call it when they saw the combines cutting the crops.  Golden stubble as far as you can see until the treeline....and the thunderheads beyond.
